LOL Since my last post let's just say Sis has been werkin'!🤣

I have accomplished a lot but I also have dropped the ball on a few things. Not a BIG deal but I'm being real with myself. One of my accomplishments is my sister and I started our online boutique! Please check out www.FliksArmoire.com and follow @fliks_armoire on Instagram, Poshmark, and Depop to stay up to date with me and new wardrobe pieces! I will be providing my own looks, as well as, thrifted closet essentials for Men and Women which we categorize as The Attic. I'm really excited about this adventure. We're still in the beginning phase but I'm grateful and hopeful.

Flik's Fav Tings... I haven't posted in a couple of weeks! No worries, I am currently having a sale and going to post new products sometime in the next two weeks. Going to change my set up for this online store but I haven't figured it out all the way yet.

Check out my Favorite fashion and vintage tings! - Www.FliksFavTIngs.com

I participated in a podcast with two amazing men! I will post the youtube video after this. Please watch, we talk about Men's Fall Fashion and essentials for 2020.

I am currently editing my YouTube videos! I am so happy that this task is finally being worked on. I created my youtube channel 7-8 years ago. I can't even imagine the type of influence I would have right now if I kept up with it, but it's fine everything happens the way it's supposed to. I am really excited about what I can create for my channel. I already have a list but action is always the hardest part, oh! and editing lol. Go ahead like and subscribe 😉 I'm Subscribing. I will post videos my videos in the blog too so you won't miss anything!

I get dressed up every year for Halloween. It's the only time you can really wear what you want to wear and people are entertained by it vs judge so I try to take full advantage!

I dressed up as THE QUEEN BEE🐝 & Diana Ross

I had 3 costumes in mind but I honestly was doing too much! 🤣

I usually shop my own closet for my costume and If I don't have certain detailed pieces I'll either run tin Goodwill or just purchase in a store or online. I never spend more than $20

This year since we're in the house, I splurged a little. I purchased pieces for my costume from Amazon, MissGuided, Shein, JoAnns, Hobby Lobby, and eBay. The ostrich feather trim I bought from JoAnn's was expensive anyway, but Thank God I found a 60% off coupon. The fabric was over $30 for a yard. I lucked up.

Anyway here is my Lil Kim looks below

I feel like I'm in a space right now where Kim was or any black woman trying to make a name for herself. This iconic look was for her debut album Hard Core, which released in 1996.

Fitness/No meat September - HA! I'm going to try again in January, I can use the next month and a half to prepare. I look and feel my best when I'm not eating meat and it's a goal of mine to be completely done with meat anyway. I bought some cookbooks and I of course need to use my Pinterest board. Going to work on dishes and post them here too! Stay tuned :)

Vegan 2021

Toodles! I'm going to bed 😴

I can't believe it's Septemeber. This year has flown by and I bet a lot of you feel like you have nothing to show for it. I can't relate lol

I have achieved and lost so much since 2020 has started. I am very grateful for my present and hopeful for my future. I am putting my best foot forward in all aspects of my life. Some days, of course, are easier than others and I appreciate the challenges I receive to be bigger and better. A majority of my goals I have knocked out even with COVID meddling in our plans. Especially my getting fit goal! I have lost almost 30 lbs, I'm close to being my highschool/college weight. I'm so close to my image goal, just need to focus on toning. I feel good, I look good, and let me say that I didn't follow this regime to a T. I definitely fell

off but I got right back to it when I could. The next focus for me is toning, especially my legs, arms, and a slimmer face! And my eating, No Meat September?? I'll decide after Labor Day. I plan to recreate this look by Ms. Jones... A fun shoot for me and I believe a way to kick off Halloween during COVID. I'm really going to get back to the camera. I love it so much can't even lie. Maybe I'm obsessed with pictures. Thinking about recreating a couple of looks of my fave STYLE ICONS. Stay Tuned 😆

One goal I have not given my undivided attention to is recording for my YouTube. I did record a quick video on ways to tie a button-up top but I haven't looked at it or tried to edit it yet. It's ok though, I'm progressing! I have DIY projects that I am going to record How To's and a Quarantine Haul/Fall Wardrobe. I have so many ideas but physically doing all of them is the problem. Well, not the problem but I need more time in a day and patience lol. Once I record I will be posting here! Can't wait to show my fits. My shopping vibes are so all over the place. I have items from black-owned businesses, including my own, online boutiques, fast fashion websites, Goodwill & Aliexpress.

I also just purchased 2 pairs of shoes that I DID NOT need. Definitely wants lol

The black strappy sandal is a trendy pair of shoes. Loving the block heel, especially now at my young age of 33. This shoe would look great with denim jeans and a white tee, a slip dress, and a romper if you're trying to show dem legs! Leopard denim mules.... how random is that!? I can never get enough of chambray but leopard chambray on my feet!? Sign me up! I hope I love both these shoes when I see them in person. I didn't even spend 40 bucks on both pairs of shoes. Shout out to DSW for allowing people to get staple pieces for their wardrobe at really affordable prices.

I'm also revamping my styling services, with COVID it has really changed my outlook on how I need to move forward and really confirming what I want/need to do with my career and life. My portfolio is going to be fire, I'm also very excited about that! My theme is suits.

Really excited to see all these ideas and dreams manifest. I do believe I have been doing the work to achieve where I want to be. I do believe I could do more but handling life and Grandma I haven't mastered yet.

My friend has been doing so well lately. Some days are better than others but I am SO grateful to be here. Especially with Grams health changing etc, I needed to be here for sure! God works so mysteriously and I am happy this is the direction he is taking me.

I am working on a Fall collection for my online boutique Flik's Fav Tings & starting a biz with my little sister Flik's Armoire! Im really excited about that. Baby steps... its all coming together.

Flik :D
